Scotsman:
"A reluctant superhero’s gotta do what a reluctant superhero’s gotta do in this sweet, silly one-woman mime about the pretty damn ordinary Extraordinary Girl, who just wants a quiet life, shuffling around her living room, ironing her cape with her incredible ironing hand, pining after the pizza delivery man and playing with tacky memorabilia she keeps buying from eBay.
Lois Tucker, aka Lois of the Lane, has a subtly expressive face, bringing Extraordinary Girl to loveable, bemused life....
She was spot-on in her understated interaction with the succession of playfully edited voiceovers and music clips..."

“Lois Tucker's silent, solo performance is undeniably brave, and her on-stage presence is captivating as she grins, giggles and grimaces her way through the everyday life of a superhero...
There's just something utterly charming about watching a superhero lying on a sofa, with a cup of tea, listening to power ballads.”

"Lois’ inventive use of props and impeccable timing to interact with the sound effects is ingenious and hilarious.
The overall show is one of wit, irony and subtlety and whilst initially the choice to use no dialogue seems curious, it is barely noticeable by the end as Lois expresses excellently the boredom, loneliness, frustration and rage that her character feels, with gentle humour...
Heroic and original effort."

"Technically, in terms of the timing of the complex sound and lighting effects, the production cannot be faulted. If you are into the fantasies of comics and idea of the super hero, this might be your form of theatre."

"The premise is ambitious, tightly scripted by Tucker and is so well paced that this could effortlessly extend to a full 90 minutes."

Forget Watchmen- here's how superheroes really kick back.
Lois is the talented nutball who played Hooters the Clown and The Pig Faced Girl in 'Gawkagogo Freakshow' and 'VEGA$M'. She really is very funny and this show is quite ingenious. I would definitely make the effort to get the the Bongo Club and check this out. I guarantee laughs and you really will believe there's stairs behind that sofa!

Extraordinarily Good
Wasn't sure what to expect from this show, tucked away at the Bongo Club. But the inventive use of the soundtrack was excellently timed, and the physical acting most convincing - surely there really was a staircase behind the sofa... There were only 5 of us in the audience on the day we went, which is a shame, as this clever one-woman performance deserves a wider viewing by comic fans and chick-lit readers alike (ok, that is an odd demographic!). A very British Superhero.

Delightful!
A beautifully told tale of the trials of a single female superhero.

Kapow!
A one woman darkly comic play giving a rare look at the life of a superhero in their downtime. Very cleverly written, and highly recommended - well on a par with last year's excellent 'Glitch'.
