I'm a North London based professional actress who's now also writing and performing her own stuff. I trained at the the Birmingham School of Acting
back in the day when it was still known as the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama,
and since graduating I've been getting up to a whole host of stuff including:writing, producing and starring in my own one woman sell-out show Glitch which found its way to the British Library at the beginning of 2009 as part of the Taking Liberties exhibition; creating my second solo show Super Situation which is about to be re-vamped for another set of dates and then a tour; starring in the multi award winning short film 'Small Talk'; co-writing, producing and performing in the sell-out visual comedy Deeper Underground; playing the front end of a Scottish, tap dancing cow; discovering my alter ego Lois of the Lane and taking her out to meet the masses; writing a few stoopid songs; getting involved with degenerate misfits Gawkagogo - performing as Hooters the Clown in their Critics' Choice show Vega$m, the escapology attempting Pig Faced Girl in their Travelling Freakshow and as various characters at various cabaret gigs and installations with them across Britain. One day I will get around to sorting out the Feature Film I have in my head... I'm a strong comedic actress but I'm not adverse to a bit of seriousness. I can sing, play the guitar and the violin (not at the same time - yet), have good movement and dance skills, a great ear for accents, and experience in Theatre, Film, TV and Radio, as well as writing and directing. I'm sure anything you could possibly want to know about me can be found on this site, but if this is not the case - please get in contact with me: lois@loistucker.net I'm regularly in the process of updating the content of this site - with plans to add more photos and my voice reel along with general updates - so come back and visit me again. You never know, I may have had a successful finger pulling out session. |
